Sunshine Club is Cumberworth First School’s wrap around care provision. It is open from 7:30 – 8:45 am and 3:30 – 6:00 pm every day in term time.

Children are provided with breakfast in the morning and a snack during the after school session.

There are lots of different activities available for the children to take part in and enjoy. In the spring and summer Sunshine Club make use of the front playground or the back pitch when they can.

The children absolutely adore the club – a home from home atmosphere ensures it is not ‘more school’, but rather a chance to unwind, play sports, do a host of craft activities and simply – to have a great time.

Our parents find the provision invaluable in making sure that their children are well looked after – with the added bonus that the club takes place on the school site itself and is actually run by the school.

When you bring your children to Sunshine Club in the morning we ask you to come in with them and sign them in. At 8:45 when school opens the older children will walk down the corridor to their classroom and the younger children will be taken to class by one of the Sunshine Club staff members.

For the afternoon session children are reminded towards the end of the school day that they will be in Sunshine Club after school. They are collected from their classroom at 3:30 by one of the Sunshine Club team. When you arrive to collect your children you will be asked to sign them out.
