Remembrance - 100 Years.
Class Bear started remembering again our fallen soldiers and their sacrifice 100 years ago by making thank you cards. We are very proud of them and they are on our display board in the corridor for a couple of weeks. A small group of us also lead a remembrance assembly for the school.
On the 9th November, most of Year 5 attended a service of remembrance at Bird’s Edge school. We sang hymns, said a prayer and then joined the other children in placing crosses at the memorial. Then we observed a 2 minutes silence. Everyone was very respectful and Mrs Vernoum and Mrs Walker were very proud of us.
After the service we went back into the school for juice and biscuits!
