Friday was the annual Year 2 coleslaw make as part of their English reading and writing unit on instructional texts. As well as following instructions, the children learnt valuable hygiene and food technology skills. For many it was their first time to use a peeler, grater and sharp knife to prepare food. Everyone had fun and worked hard – only Mrs Eason ended up with a cut finger!
