We have been finding out about the animals on the farm. We have sorted animals into different groups such as those who live in the barn or near the pond and matched adult animals to their offspring. In literacy we read the story of Farmer Duck together and described the main characters; the lazy, greedy farmer and the helpful, hardworking duck. In reception maths, we have worked on adding groups together and recording our number stories. In Year 1 maths, we have looked at numbers to 100 and then challenged each other to find 10 more or less than any given number to 100. Outdoors we are setting up our next role play - a Pirate Ship!
