Welcome to Cumberworth Church of England First School. We are delighted that you have taken the time to have a look at our website and find out about our school.  At Cumberworth we pride ourselves on our strong relationships between school and our families and it is through our shared goals that our children continue to exceed our high expectations. They are true ambassadors for us all and constantly make us proud by their polite, friendly and welcoming manner.

Class Australia - Coding

Class Australia have been developing their computer coding skills by using ‘Block Coding’ commands within the Espresso Software. At the click of a button, they have programmed planes to fly, monkeys to find coconuts and pirates to dig for treasure....

Chess

This morning Year 5 have been learning how to play Chess. Some pupils already knew the rules so they have been using their peer leadership skills in teaching others. Chess is great for mental health wellbeing, turn taking and strategizing....
